Last year, he helped lead the Spartans' pitching staff to a 2.18 team ERA in 272.1 IP, including 14 complete games, 10 shutouts and 2 no-hitters. Overall in his 5 years of coaching, Beeler's pitching staffs have posted a combined 2.64 ERA over 1,129.0 IP.
Beeler was a 2-way standout at Jenks HS where he was drafted in the 37th round. He later starred at Seminole State College, then Oral Roberts University before being drafted again by the Chicago Cubs in 2010. Beeler enjoyed a 9-year professional career, eventually reaching the Major Leagues with the Cubs in both 2014 and 2015. He also received a World Series ring with the Cubs as a member of their 40-man roster during their historic 2016 Championship run, breaking their 108-year World Series drought.
Beeler and his wife, Bayle, have 2 children, Stellan (4) and Graeme (2).
