
Jeff Owens enters his second season at Bixby, and his sixth season on Coach Wilson's staff. A long-tenured coach in the state of Oklahoma, Coach Owens enters his 34th season of coaching high school baseball overall. He is responsible for outfielders and assists with baserunning and hitters.
A state champion player in 1984 as a sophomore at Haskell High School, Owens went on to coach at Haskell, winning another state championship in 1996 as a member of the Haymakers' coaching staff. He spent 13 years coaching at his alma mater before being named Head Coach at Coweta High School for the 2005 season. After Coweta, Owens became an assistant coach at Jenks, where in his 14 seasons, helped lead the Trojans to 11 state tournaments, including in 2019 while serving as Head Coach. Owens joined current Spartans' Head Coach Dean Wilson at Cascia Hall for the 2021 season. In four seasons there, Owens helped lead the Commandos to 2 district titles, 3 regional titles and the first trip to a State Championship game in program history in 2023. He joined Wilson at Bixby for the 2025 season, where the Spartans finished with 31 wins and reached the state semi-finals.
Owens and his wife Ginger have two grown children, Cadon and Kinzi, and three grandchildren.
